Everything from “how quickly can you attend?” to “what does NAPIT approved actually mean for me?” — in the order you'd likely ask them.

About DGC Electrical

01
Who is DGC Electrical Solutions?

DGC Electrical Solutions is Dan Centracchio's electrical firm, based in Shirley, Solihull (company no. 13235266, incorporated 1 March 2021). Dan founded DGC in 2019 after 15 years working across domestic, commercial and industrial electrical jobs around the UK. The firm is NAPIT approved and registered, Checkatrade verified, and rated 5 on Google with every review a five-star.

What makes you different from other local electricians?

Two things, both verifiable. First, the reviews — every one on Google is a five-star, with customers naming Dan for neat work, clear communication and reliability. Second, you deal with Dan himself from first quote to final certificate; there's no call-centre and no being passed around.

What area do you cover?

We're based in Shirley, Solihull and cover Solihull, south Birmingham (Kings Heath, Warstock) and out into Warwickshire (Warwick, Shipston on Stour), among other areas. If you're not sure whether you're in range, call and ask.

Booking & on the day

02
How do I arrange a job?

Call or text Dan on 07581 430293, email info@dgc-electrical.co.uk, or use the contact form. You arrange everything with Dan directly — it's the quickest way to sort a date and get a quote.

What are your hours?

We work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm. We're closed on Sundays. Call or text Dan and he'll book a day that suits you.

How quickly can you attend?

It depends on the diary, but Dan doesn't drag jobs out. For anything urgent, calling or texting is always fastest — one customer even had Dan pick up the phone on his day off to help them work through a fault.

Who actually comes to do the work?

Dan does. He quotes the job, carries out the work and signs it off himself — the same person start to finish, which is exactly why his name is all over the reviews.

Can you work around other trades?

Yes. Dan regularly coordinates his work with plasterers, kitchen fitters and other trades — one customer described him coordinating over two visits with their plasterer so the ceiling and the spotlights lined up. Just let us know what else is happening on site.

Credentials & standards

03
What does NAPIT approved and registered mean for me?

NAPIT is a government-approved competent-person scheme for electrical work. Being NAPIT approved and registered means DGC is assessed against the national electrical safety standards, so your work is carried out and certified to those standards by a registered firm.

Is your work certified?

Yes. Depending on the job you'll receive an installation certificate, a minor works certificate, or an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). Every installation is tested on completion and certified where required.

Are you a proper registered company?

Yes — DGC Electrical Solutions Limited is a registered limited company, Companies House number 13235266, incorporated on 1 March 2021. We're also Checkatrade verified.

Services & certificates

04
Can you upgrade my consumer unit or fuse box?

Yes — this is one of Dan's most-requested jobs. He replaces outdated fuse boxes with a modern consumer unit fitted with individual RCBOs and surge protection, then tests and certifies the installation on completion.

Do you carry out full and partial rewires?

Yes. We replace unsafe or damaged wiring and install modern circuits — for cookers, kitchen sockets, lighting and boilers — across homes, offices, garages and outbuildings, whether it's a full rewire or a partial one.

Can you install an EV charger?

Yes. DGC installs EV charging points, sited and cabled around your property and connected back to the consumer unit with the right protection. It's work Dan is regularly booked for.

Do you do EICRs for landlords and businesses?

Yes. DGC provides Electrical Installation Condition Reports covering wiring, consumer units, earthing, bonding, outlets and safety devices, with the compliance documentation landlords and businesses need.

Can you help with lighting and extra sockets?

Yes. We handle LED upgrades, indoor and outdoor lighting, security and smart lighting, and kitchen and bathroom lighting — plus additional indoor and outdoor sockets and USB socket upgrades.

Do you take on commercial electrical work?

Yes. DGC provides full commercial electrical services — rewiring, consumer unit upgrades, EICR inspections, emergency and standard lighting, single and three-phase power supplies, and ongoing maintenance and fault-finding. Our commercial clients include Monkspath Junior and Infant School in Solihull.

My electrics keep tripping — can you find the fault?

Yes. Fault finding and repairs are core work. Dan traces tripping RCDs, faulty switches, lighting failures and overloaded circuits to the cause, fixes it properly, and tests the circuit so you know it's sound.

Quotes & getting in touch

05
How do I get a quote?

Send Dan the details — call, text a photo of the job, or use the contact form. He'll discuss the options and design with you and give you a clear price before any work begins.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the job, but Dan prices honestly and talks you through the sensible option rather than the most expensive one. Get in touch and he'll quote it clearly.
